Novel Evaluation

Screenwriters looking to adapt a written novel to which he or she already possesses the rights

Price:

Standard (Under 250 Pages) – $500
Extended (250-500 Pages) – $700
Extended+ (500-1000 Pages) – $900

Phone Consultation

Who should purchase this:

Producers who are looking for general advice or strategy on story projects.
Producers interested in hiring writers or other extensive development services.
Producers who need development services.
Screenwriters who have a general story idea and need help with the next step
Screenwriters who need feedback on a larger project
Screenwriters who need input on a project already in production
Screenwriters who want to add phone time to an existing consultation

What you get:

Phone consultation with Catharsis founder Vicki Peterson. (Add an additional $150 per hour for both Barbara and Vicki.)

Follow-Up Script Consultation

Who should purchase this:

Screenwriters who have completed a standard consultation and wish to receive follow-up notes on an updated draft.

How to make the purchase:

Email your script consultant prior to purchase. Once approved, you can add this item to your cart or an invoice can be sent to you.
This offer expires one year from the date on your notes.

Standard Consultation

Who should purchase this:

Screenwriters with a completed screenplay

Price:

Standard – $600
Extended – $1200 (includes line and margin notes)

How you make the purchase:

Add this item (initial fee of $100) to your cart.
After purchasing, email your script to storycatharsis@gmail.com with “PRELIMINARY CONSULTATION, [your name], [project title]” in the subject heading.
We will determine if the script is ready for a full consultation (Please allow up to 10 days).
If the project is accepted, we will invoice you for the remaining $500 for the standard consultation or $1100 for the extended consultation.
If the project is not yet ready for consult, it will be returned with one page of notes and recommendations at no extra cost. Once appropriate changes are made, you may resubmit and the initial $100 will be waived.

Treatment Development

For the initial fee of $500, you will recieve:

An hour long phone call with Catharsis founders, Barbara Nicolosi and Vicki Peterson, to discuss project potential, ideas of where to take it, and what the next steps should be (i.e. If you’d like to continue with a project synopsis or treatment).

The free “So You Think You Have a Movie Idea” podcast.

How you make the purchase:

Add this item to your cart to pay the initial $500 fee.
After purchasing, you will receive a link to download the podcast and questionnaire.
Listen to the podcast and fill out the questionnaire to the best of your ability.
Email the completed questionnaire along with the best times to schedule a call to storycatharsis@gmail.com with “QUESTIONNAIRE, [your name], [project name]” as the subject heading.

What happens next:

We will return your email with a suggested call time per our mutual availability.
After the consult, Barbara and Vicki will break the story and complete a 10-12 page fully fleshed out treatment including plot with act breakdown, character descriptions and arcs, theme, arena, title proposal and market evaluation. You will be invoiced for the remaining $7000 for the Development of the Project Treatment. (Timeline to be decided during the phone call.)

Project Synopsis Development

For the initial fee of $500, you will recieve:

An hour long phone call with Catharsis founders, Barbara Nicolosi and Vicki Peterson, to discuss project potential, ideas of where to take it, and what the next steps should be (i.e. If you’d like to continue with a project synopsis or treatment).

After the consult, Barbara and Vicki will break the story and complete a 2-3 page project synopsis. You will be invoiced for the remaining $4500 for the Development of the Project Synopsis. (Timeline to be decided during the phone call.)

Concept Development Consult

You will recieve:
